The Institute plans to organize the International Conference «Bioindication in the monitoring of fresh-water ecosystems» in Saint Petersburg on October, 23-27, 2006

The main subjects covered by the Conference program:

1. Bioindication in the monitoring of eutrofication, acidification, oil and other kinds of pollution
2. Bioindication and biotesting in early diagnostics of anthropogenous changes
3. Systems of indicator organisms and complex systems of bioindication with use of mathematical methods
4. The changes of structure and a variety of communities as the bioindicators
5. The functional parameters of communities as the bioindicators
6. A chemical compound of organisms as a parameter of a environmental condition
7. Morphological, biochemical and molecular biomarkers
